The Eurasian hoopoe (Upupa epops) is the most widespread species of the genus Upupa, native to Europe, Asia and the northern half of Africa. Some taxonomists still consider all three species conspecific. Some authorities also keep the African and Eurasian hoopoe together, but split the Madagascar hoopoe. Ο τσαλαπετεινός αποτελεί μία απο τις χαρακτηριστικότερες «φιγούρες» της ελληνικής -και ευρωπαϊκής- ορνιθοπανίδας που, με τα ιδιαίτερα μορφολογικά του χαρακτηριστικά, δεν συγχέεται με κανένα άλλο πτηνό (απαραγνώριστο είδος, indistinguishable). Ωστόσο, λόγω ακριβώς αυτού του ιδιόμορφου παρουσιαστικού του, έχει υποστεί εξαιρετικά μεγάλη πίεση από τους λαθροθήρες, κυρίως με σκοπό την ταρίχευση. The dunnock (Prunella modularis) is a small passerine, or perching bird, found throughout temperate Europe and into Asian Russia. Dunnocks have also been successfully introduced into New Zealand. It is by far the most widespread member of the accentor family, which otherwise consists of mountain species. Other common names of the dunnock include the hedge accentor, hedge sparrow, or hedge warbler. Found this little guy to the urban area of Ptolemaida town , Greece. Ο θαμνοψάλτης ειναι ενα μικρό στρουθιόμορφο πουλί, το οποίο απαντάται στις εύκρατες περιοχές της Ευρώπης και της Ασίας. Prunella modularis η λατινική ονομασία, είναι μόνιμος κάτοικος των ήπιων κλιματολογικά περιοχών της δυτικής και νότιας Ευρώπης. Σε μήκος φτάνει σχεδόν τα 15 εκατοστά, ελαφρώς μικρότερος από ένα σπουργίτι. Ζυγίζει κατά μέσο όρο 20 γραμμάρια. Το στήθος και το κεφάλι είναι γκρι χρώματος, με το στέμμα και την περιοχή των αυτιών καφετιά. Η πλάτη και τα φτερά είναι σκούρα καφέ με μαύρες ραβδώσεις. Τα τρία μπροστινά τους δάχτυλα ενώνονται στη βάση τους με μια μικρή μεμβράνη και το χρώμα των φτερών τους διαφέρει μεταξύ των φύλων. Long-eared owl Long-eared Owls are lanky owls that often seem to wear a surprised expression thanks to long ear tufts that typically point straight up like exclamation marks. These nocturnal hunters roost in dense foliage, where their camouflage makes them hard to find, and forage over grasslands for small mammals. Long-eared Owls are nimble flyers, with hearing so acute they can snatch prey in complete darkness. In spring and summer, listen for their low, breathy hoots and strange barking calls in the night. Nανόμπουφος
 Ο νανόμπουφος ή μικρός μπούφος (είδος Asio otus), είναι νυκτόβιος μπούφος, κοινός στα δάση της Βόρειας Ευρώπης και της Αμερικής, και αναγνωρίζεται από τα μακριά ερετικά φτερά του. Είναι καφέ επάνω, με ραβδώσεις και κηλίδες, άσπρος κάτω με σκούρες ραβδώσεις. Έχει μήκος περίπου 30 εκατοστόμετρα και τρέφεται με ποντίκια, πουλιά, ψάρια, βατράχια και έντομα. Ο κοκκινολαίμης, από τα χαρακτηριστικότερα ωδικά πτηνά της ελληνικής και ευρωπαϊκής ορνιθοπανίδας, αποτελεί κόσμημα για τους κήπους και τα πάρκα σε όλες τις περιοχές κατανομής του. Είναι, από τα πιο κοινά πτηνά σε όλες τις χώρες όπου απαντά και, από τα πλέον αγαπητά, όχι μόνον για τα όμορφα χρώματά του, αλλά κυρίως για το δυνατό και μελωδικό τραγούδι του.`
